WEDDING WEEK: OUR LOOK

Our wedding day was literally the best day of my life. Everything that day seemed to go absolutely perfect, and it felt like I was in a real life fairytale. It was also extremely special for us to be surrounded by so many supportive friends and family, we were truly blessed by the entire day. We wanted our look to be classic and timeless. For me that meant a mermaid style Maggie Sottero dress with a dramatic train. My husband wanted to keep things simple, he wore a black Calvin Klein tux and a black satin bow tie. I went on a hunt with my maid of honor (she's the one standing next to me), to find the perfect blush toned bridesmaid dress, we fell in love with these Monique Lhuillier dresses we found at the Nordstrom Wedding Suite. Our groomsmen wore black Vera Wang tuxes with blush toned bow ties.

Because of our venue's fairytale feel, I knew that I wanted a whimsical dress. I went dress hunting with my mom in my hometown of Dallas, and we absolutely enjoyed the entire process. I found my dress at Stardust bridal, when I tried on my dress I knew that it was perfect for my big day.

For my shoes, I knew that sparkle and comfort were a must. When I found these Jimmy Choo heels, they were love at first sight. They were so comfortable I forgot that I was wearing them.

I had no idea what my bouquet would look like until the day of the wedding, since my florist Dwight wanted it to be a surprise. I surely was surprised, and I loved the way it turned out. My bouquet was composed of peonies, roses, and mini callas .

I wanted my makeup and hair to be extremely soft and effortless, it turned out just the way I imagined.

I incorporated the sparkle from my shoes into my bridal sash and jewelry as well.

Aren't the flower girls adorable! My mom made their polka dot headbands, as well as their champagne sashes. They wore satin and tulle dresses, and the flower girls were as sweet as they looked.

I decided to have a junior bridesmaid as an ode to my parents wedding. My junior bridesmaid's mother was actually my parents junior bridesmaid, and I thought it was a cute way to incorporate her into our wedding. When I saw this Vera Wang for David's Bridal dress, I knew that it was perfect for a junior bridesmaid. She looked absolutely gorgeous in it, and it was so special having her in my wedding since she is one of my favorite younger cousins.
