Wedding Week: The Blueprint

This week I am excited to share with you all of the details of our wedding! Each day I will cover a different aspect of our wedding. My husband and I got married this May in Houston, Texas. We have been dating since our senior year in high school, and we wanted our wedding to truly be a sentiment of our relationship.

My first source of inspiration to help sort out all of my ideas for my dream wedding was pinterest. Before I even came up with a concept for my wedding, I pinned every image that inspired me for my big day. The major theme I gathered from my wedding board was a romantic timeless wedding using the colors blush, gold, rose gold and ivory. It's funny I always thought I was more of a modern bride, but I soon realized when planning my wedding that I was more traditional than what I imagined.

When I first visited The Bell Tower on 34th, I knew I had found the perfect location. I couldn't wait to bring my dream day to life using the picturesque architecture the venue provided.

I wanted to use lots of flowers and candles to create a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. When I talked to my florist Dwight of DLWoodbury designs about my concept for the wedding, we decided that the florals would mainly be composed of roses, hydrangeas, and callas to create a luxe romantic environment. Dwight also suggested using floating candles as well as votives throughout the venue to create soft lighting. I loved how he was able to take my concept and truly make it come to life.

I also wanted to incorporate our monogram that was used on our invitations

Our guests were the central focus of our wedding. Since the majority of our guest were from out of town, we wanted our wedding to be as catering to them as possible. We reserved rooms for out of town guest at a nearby hotel, where we placed guest bags (we incorporated our monogram on the bags as well) with a message from us as well as our favorite snacks

Our guest were also the central focus when choosing our venue since it was important for us to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in one venue. The Bell Tower did an excellent job at combining all of the elements of our dream venue into one place. I could have not imagined a more perfect venue to host our special day.
